Who We Are

At the beginning of 2013, I adopted the idea that I had gotten from an Australian company: providing outsourcing services. I started an online company called “Web-In”, doing data entry, web data extraction, research, social media management and marketing consultant. When we expanded beyond the Australian marketplace to the USA, Canada and Europe, we changed the name of our company to “Sleek Web Innovations”.

Mission Statement: Our goal was to evolve to a place where we could empower more women at home to expand their family income as well as the community around us to become more financially stable. Working from home would allow single parents and sole breadwinners of the family to fulfill their home duties as well as allowing them at the same time to receive an outside paycheck. It also gave employers a huge decrease in their infrastructure by having these unseen “virtual” employees do much of the work and able to focus on their projects.

Hello! I’m jONELYN iNDING

I was born in Cagayan de Oro, on the island of Mindanao, Philippines. Web Designer / Social Media Consultant and Blogger. I am a widow raising my two sons, I try to pass on to them my sense of curiosity and my joy at exploring and learning. I am an active person, with a passion for life and a love of nature. I have many interests and I am more than willing to express my opinions on anyone of them. I’m resourceful, determined, and persistent when it comes to my life goals. I am an optimist and believe that dreams can come true and that we all have a responsibility to help make the world a better place.

Cagayan de Oro is known as the city of Golden Friendship. When I was 12 my parents separated, we moved to the city of Roxas, also known as the Seafood Capital of Philippines. There I attended the Capiz State University, earning an Associate of Computer Programming diploma and then continued on to the Filamer Christian University where I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Science in Computer Science. After College I moved to Metro Manila only to find that everything I had learned was basically obsolete already. With no prospect of securing work in my field of expertise, I soon lost interest and needing work, I started working in Customer Service, Managerial, and Accounting Staff. But in 2011 I decided to refresh my computer skills, by asking the owner of a nearby internet shop if I could work there for free, allowing me to refresh my computer skills and catch up on the latest trends in the digital field. He agreed and thus provided me with uninterrupted access to the net and allowing me to “catch up” while working. In 2013 I made the decision that I would work from home so I could look after my kids while I was working. I researched what kind of work I could get while working remotely and I continued my own self-studies to improve my skill set and continue following current trends. Finally, I felt that I had the necessary tools to launch myself and thus started submitting applications everywhere, signing up with multiple sites that were offering work from home and had a multitude of live video interviews with just as many “we will call you….” But never did.
But being an optimist and persistent I applied for a VA (virtual assistant) position to the CEO of an Australian company, Asmex Asia Pacific, they were involved in an E-Commerce Website, the CEO’s name was Oliver and I had a Video conference interview with him, I had nothing in my mind except to get this job, it was now or never. I answered the questions as briefly and efficiently as possible, I was so scared that he would placate me and dismiss me like all the others, so I made a last-ditch plea, I explained to him that if I didn’t get this job I would be out on the street, and if he would only give me a chance to show him my diligence and skill set, I would not disappoint him. He agreed to give me a trial run, he said I must encode the files he would send to me on an excel format and I had 24 hours. I was determined not to fail, and since he was able to track my progress on the google spreadsheet platform, he witnessed that I started immediately and did not stop all through the night until it was done. The next day he video called me to tell me that I was hired and that was how my home-based business began until now.
